Hi everybody, I just wanted to share a little bit of inspiration and a tip for the weekend.
Last night I made a couple of ATC's, one being really basic to show you a quick background technique.
What you will need is a Dye Ink (Memento's are great with a beautiful new range of colours), Stazon Ink, a brayer (the handiest tool ever which I use all the time) plus one piece of glossy cardstock. All these products are available at Scrapbook Studio.
Cut out your 3.5" x 2.5" ATC from your Glossy Cardstock. Stamp your desired image over the glossy card with a stazon ink, I have chosen black for this card.
Then take your brayer and roll it several times in your large Memento Dye Ink Pad, for this card I have chosen the colour 'Lady Bug'
Taking your inked up brayer, evenly roll it several times over your glossy cardstock, sometimes it may slide around but be assured the colour does even out as you continue to roll over it. This ink dries almost instantly. This is the effect you will get:
I made a quick ATC with this background and also coloured glossy card with a lime green Memento 'Pear Tart' to matt my vintage picture. Dye inks are a fantastic way to colour a boring piece of white card to add some quick colour!
Here is another ATC using the same background technique, this one is using Memento 'Summer Sky'. Also used Dimensional Magic, Stickles, several cut out designs, cut out flowers embossed to curl the petals. Tim Holtz Background rubber stamp.
Thats it for now, will post again later tonight with Dare #2!
