ATC Dares is back! - ATC Dare #6

Hello everybody, yes yes I know its been a very long break for ATC dares! Well we have recovered from the holidays, kids are back at school and you know what that means....yay more time to make ATC's!!!

Last year things did get a bit hectic for me running this site fornightly on top of our website and store. So we have decided this year to run the dare once a month. Like me I guess most of you scrapbook, make cards or other mixed media or altered projects so it can be hard to fit everything in sometimes. I think to produce at least one ATC per month is very manageable for most of us.

Other exciting news is we have the lovely Nickie Mouncey now working full time in the shop and she is also in to ATC's! So thats great news for us because she has agreed to be a contributor too!

Ok, to get the ball rolling for the year I have come up with this cool theme which I really enjoyed making. I have done a couple of takes on this, completely different than the idea I had in mind when I first started out! Anyhow am very pleased with my first one:

Ok, the theme for the month - MARCH 09 ATC DARE #6 is: MASQUERADE!

Now you can do any interpretion of this, I have just done the typical stereo-type, but there are heaps of ideas out there. You have until midnight 31st March to get you dare up on the gallery. Since this is the 1st dare for the year I have a nice prize in mind so come on girls, get your thinking caps on and join in. This is one way of getting some ATC's done to fill that album!

For those newbies out there this is what you need to do:

For full info click back on our side bar to September in the Archives and read up all about what an ATC is, the standard size for your card must be 2.5" x 3.5" generally most are portrait but you can make landscape too. Once you have made your card scan it or take a photo and I generally downsize mine to 400 pixels in height, then upload this to our ARTROOM which is linked to my online website and shop. There will be the appropriate folder for this month where you can post your ATC too. Also check out our FORUM as we also have ATC swap running most months. Swaps are a great way to get your collection of ATC's going fast.

Any queries feel free to email me at inspired2scrap@hotmail.com

Ok, so now you have all the info here are my two takes on this theme:

For both of these I have embossed and stamped the backgrounds using UTEE, same with the chipboard pieces on the 2nd one. Not sure if I should have glittered the wing on the 2nd one but anyhow its done now. I resized all pictures and by fluke the masks just happened to fit the eyes of both pictures so I was quite pleased about that.

Looking forward to seeing all your creations and good luck! I'll add an update soon with details of the prize!
